operation pit stop

there are so many ways you can help support our mission

All appointments must be scheduled through our partners - FIDO Indy & Hoosier Fix

puppies are cute, but there are too many large-breed dogs in shelter!

At IndyHumane, we’re dedicated to creating healthier lives for pets and reducing overpopulation. Through Operation Pit Stop, we’re offering fee-waived spay and neuter surgeries, vaccines, and microchips for large-breed dogs. Thanks to the generosity of Wings of Rescue, all donations will be matched up to $5,000!

Did you know? In six years, one unspayed female dog and her offspring can produce 67,000 puppies? Spaying and neutering is the single-most important thing we can do to prevent homeless animals in our community.

One spay and neuter surgery costs $195. We can perform 25 spay and neuter surgeries with $5,000, but the need is so much bigger! Donate today to make an even bigger impact in your community!

why spay/neuter your dog?

  • health benefits: reduce the risk of certain cancers and other health issues, giving your pet a longer, healthier life
  • behavioral improvements: fixed pets are less likely to roam, mark, or show aggression
  • prevent overpopulation: help reduce unplanned litters and the number of pets in shelters
