At IndyHumane, our Community Outreach team is dedicated to bringing awareness about our mission and connecting with the community through various events. Whether it's a large convention, a neighborhood festival, or a smaller gathering, we’re excited to participate with adoptable animals to spread our message and create meaningful connections.

event participation

Our team is equipped to attend a wide range of events, including but not limited to:

  • conventions & expos: engage with large crowds and introduce them to our adoptable pets.
  • parades & festivals: be a part of the excitement while showcasing our work.
  • community days & fundraisers: support local initiatives and highlight our mission.
  • educational events & microchip clinics: offer services and share important information with the public.

NOTE: While we often bring our Pet Adoption Wagon (PAW) to events, we can also attend smaller gatherings without it, making it more cost-effective for you while still providing a high-impact experience.

pricing & booking

Our participation in outreach events typically costs $225 per hour with a 2-hour minimum and a 4-hour maximum. This fee covers:

  • Staff preparation and travel time
  • Supplies and resources needed to prepare animals for the event
  • Transportation costs

We occasionally accommodate events at a lower cost if they closely align with IndyHumane’s mission. Please note that our outreach calendar fills up quickly, especially during busy seasons, so we recommend booking as early as possible.

To submit a booking request, please complete our Community Outreach Request Form. This will ensure we have all the necessary information to plan for your event efficiently.

PAW (Pet Adoption Wagon)

The PAW is a custom-built mobile adoption unit that allows us to bring adoptable animals directly to your event. It's a unique and engaging way to interact with our animals and learn more about our work.

group volunteer program

Volunteer Groups help support IndyHumane's mission and day-to-day operations, while creating a bonding experience for your group! Activities may include, but are not limited to, preparing enrichment activities for animals, organizing supplies, light landscaping, and laundry and dishes.
