I wanted to adopt a cat after I moved into my first apartment and was dealing with major depression and loneliness. I went to the Humane Society of Indianapolis after checking out the website, thinking I knew which cat I wanted. Unfortunately, said cat didn't quite warm up to me as I had hoped, and I was on my way out the door. That was when I caught a glimpse of the most beautiful cat I had ever seen. She was named “Missy,” and was in one of the special rooms. I sat down and put her on my lap, and she started purring, then looked back at me, with this look that absolutely said, “you know you're taking me home, right?” 

Sophie stole my heart that day and has saved my life. I love her more and more everyday. Thank you for bringing her into my life!
