Volunteer Programs Coordinator

IndyHumane is seeking a Volunteer Programs Coordinator (Full-Time Position). Persons applying must be passionate about working with humans (adult & youth), dogs, and cats. Strong organizational skills, exceptional communication skills, and a natural eagerness to find ways for people to volunteer are all abilities we need for this position. Responsibilities include managing Volunteer Program for IndyHumane including recruitment and retention. Review, develop, update, and maintain volunteer records. Organize and facilitate volunteer training with volunteer trainers and staff as needed. Broaden the involvement between the community and IndyHumane by exploring and developing new opportunities. Occasional weekends and holidays will be required.

Vaccine Clinic Coordinator

The vaccine clinic coordinator is responsible for successful vaccine clinic operations; including excellent customer service to all patrons, staff members and volunteers that visit the vaccine clinic and consulting with all vaccine clinic clients to ensure that animals and clients are treated in a manger consistent with organizational policies, procedures, beliefs and mission.

Compensation: $16.50/hour

Part-Time Feline Animal Care Technician

Responsible for day-to-day care and treatment of cats that are surrendered to the shelter; will perform duties pertaining to kennel maintenance, custodial responsibilities, maintaining a disease-free environment, and feline enrichment and behavioral tasks. Interacts with the public, fellow staff, community service, and volunteers professionally and with exceptional customer service. Chief Executive Officer

The CEO of IndyHumane will conduct overall management of the organization.  They will be responsible for the organization’s mission and overall financial stability.  Acting as the key spokesperson and leader of IndyHumane, they will be tasked with fostering and maintaining community, corporate and board relations.  The CEO will be held accountable for this by the board of directors.

IndyHumane Downtown Clinic Surgery Assistant/Technician

Responsible for assisting in spay/neuter surgery providing check-in/check-out, prep, recovery, and husbandry support/assistance.  Will work with veterinarian to provide wellness services for vaccination clinic patients.

IndyHumane Customer Service Manager

The Customer Service Manager’s key focus is to uphold IndyHumane’s mission through multi-departmental collaboration and overall management of the Customer Service Team to facilitate animal adoptions and help with animal flow efficiently and effectively. The primary focus will be on providing excellent customer service to all Patrons while being fully competent on animal welfare/adoption trends and best practices. Position will work to ensure that animals in our care go to appropriate loving homes. The Customer Service Manager works directly with the Sr. Director of Shelter Services to ensure high quality adoption protocols and procedures. Collaborating with the Sr. Director of Shelter Services, the Customer Service Manager will provide continued coaching, guidance, motivation, and conflict resolution to the Customer Service Team.

Compensation: $42,000 annually
