Your donation will help us end problems for Indy’s animals - once and for all!

Your financial gift supports our plan to end the suffering and neglect of Hoosier animals. When you donate,

  • You help us provide medical and behavioral care to cats and dogs at our shelter, and make it possible for us to save lives by not putting animals down because of space or time.
  • You’re supporting the launch of a world-class animal-welfare center featuring low-cost spay/neuter services to those most in need.
  • You make it possible for us to provide services to the community such as pet behavior help and a low-cost vaccine clinic.

The Humane Society of Indianapolis is an Indianapolis-based, independent nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that receives no government funding. We are supported solely by contributions, grants, bequests, investments, and adoption and service fees. We receive no funding or guidance from the United Way, the Humane Society of the United States, or the ASPCA. Your financial gift shows a deep personal commitment to animals in Central Indiana.

Your privacy is extremely important to IndyHumane. IndyHumane will not share the information collected from your donation with any third parties.

Refund Policy:  The Humane Society of Indianapolis exists through the generosity of its donors and their passion for animal welfare.  As such, refunds will not be made for contributions made online.

Medical Sponsorship

Many animals arrive at our shelter with medical conditions, such as heartworm in dogs, which are beyond the scope of our regular medical care. Medical conditions can be a tremendous obstacle to adoption, as the retail cost of treatment for an adopter can be $500 - 900. With our in-house medical team, we can treat many conditions before an animal dog is available for adoption, provide foster care during recovery, and educate potential adopters about lifetime care. Your medical sponsorship funds lifesaving treatment for animals in need.
