Wellington

I visited the Humane Society of Indianapolis’ website looking to become a volunteer. I found a blurb about Third Thursdays and decided to check it out. Before going, though, I wanted to see what types of dogs I would be working with. This is when I found Wellington. He was only 4 months old and had gone through a tough time with skin conditions and digestive issues. His face was too cute to resist! I attended the Third Thursday event and got the chance to meet Welly that night. As soon as I met him, I knew he and I were going to be best pals. I made sure I got to the Humane Society very early on Friday so I could take Welly home with me!

Since that day in August, Welly has grown from a teeny 6 lbs. to over 12! His skin and coat are in great shape and he is full of energy! He has loved playing in the leaves this fall (as seen in the photo) and is learning to fetch. He does wear himself out though! Surprisingly, Welly gets along relatively well with Zeus, my sphynx cat. Welly has truly been a blessing in my life! Thank you to IndyHumane for all you do for these wonderful animals!
