I wanted to submit a Happy Tails story about our dog Sandy. I adopted Sandy from Indy Humane in 2006. At the time, I was living in an apartment and I wanted a large dog but knew I had to choose a dog that wasn't too high energy given my limited space. I went to an adoption event at the fairgrounds, and there she was-sprawled out in the middle of one of the aisles, fast asleep while all the commotion was going on around her. I knelt down to pet her and she just looked up kindly with her big brown eyes. I knew I had to have her! I filled out the paperwork and as we were walking out, one of the volunteers said, "Oh, we forgot to tell you, she's a couch potato!" Oh, is she ever. She is the BEST DOG. She is so happy and content just lying next to you on the couch or lying out on the deck or under one of our trees (we have a house now with a fenced yard).  She loves to take long leisurely walks where she sniffs at every flower and tree. She gets along well with EVERYONE and is so patient with children and everyone who approaches. She has been with me through some tough times and has been such a great best friend. Thank you for introducing me to her almost 7 years ago, our family can't imagine life without her!

Thanks again for all you do,
Jaimie (and Susan)
