IndyHumane will waive its pet adoption fees December 15 and 16 as part of a nationwide “Free the Shelter” event, supported by PRAI Beauty. The goal of the event is to remove any financial barriers for families and individuals seeking to adopt a pet from the shelter, while finding forever homes for the hundreds of homeless pets currently cared for by IndyHumane. It is estimated that nearly 100 animals will be available for adoption over the weekend.
“Free the Shelters” was launched by PRAI Beauty in May. To date, the events have helped more than 1,500 animals get adopted at 20 private and municipal shelters across the country.
“We are grateful to PRAI Beauty for selecting IndyHumane to participate in this important national movement to support animal adoptions,” said Kristen McGuire, IndyHumane’s Director of Customer Experience. “The timing is perfect – especially for those who may be considering a new pet for the holidays.”
