Sonny

We adopted Sonny (formerly called Herman) in July 2017 and love him so much!  I wanted to find a small or medium sized dog so that I could easily pick up and manage on a leash, so we visited that section of the shelter a few times.  Most of the dogs we were hopeful to meet were not ready for adoption yet.  During our last visit we decided to walk through the large dog area before leaving and boy did we get lucky!  We came across this big yellow lab and a volunteer took us out to the run for an introduction.  We left with Sonny that day, and he immediately adapted really well to his new home and routine.  It only took a couple of vet visits and some TLC to get him in top condition, and he has been the perfect addition to our family.  Thanks to all the staff and volunteers!
