Prince

We adopted Prince (half Border Collie, half Bernese Mountain Dog) two thursdays ago. He is the best dog. I have never met a dog who loves people as much as he does. He is pretty famous around our neighborhood, and is known as “the handsome prince.” He has blossomed these past two weeks. He's learned “wait,” “give,” “sit,” “leave it,” and is doing REALLY well with not jumping on people. He did have tape worms and an ear infection, but we got both taken care of. His coat is filling out, and he is growing so quickly. Our three year old and him are best buds. They do everything together and he always comes to check on her if she falls down. He even sits when she tells him to. He starts obedience classes soon, and we have slowly been desensitizing him to car rides, which is going very well. He loves playing frisbee and we got him a few brain puzzles. He figured those out immediately! The cats and him are figuring things out, and we are very slowly introducing them to each other. He plays a bit too rough, so we will work on that in obedience class also. We are so grateful to have him in our lives. Since I stay home full time, we go on 2-3 walks a day and have at least 1 frisbee session outside. (He loves playing in the rain so that doesn't stop us!)
