Happy Tail from Hola – now Lucy

“Good afternoon. Lucy has become a part of our family so quickly, it’s hard to remember her not being with us.
Ivy, known as Masha under your care so many years ago, has found a playmate. They get along better than we had any right to hope.
The most interesting thing has been the development of her personality. We didn’t really meet her until the night we brought her home. After walking through the door, she was no longer the curious but timid dog we met at the Humane Society. She showed herself to be a fearless and affectionate girl, capable destroyer of toys, the wiggliest of wiggle worms, and very goofy.
Lucy is excelling in training. She has a firm grasp on sit, lay down, stand up, and stay. She seems to be picking a lot up from watching Ivy. Leave it seems all but impossible at this point, but I’m sure we’ll get there.
Socialization is another big thing for us to work on. She did nothing but bark when my in-laws came over. We are glad to say that things have improved with multiple visits, and she is affectionate with them now. However it does give us something to work on. She also does not appear to be a big fan of the vet’s office.
We would like to take a moment to thank everyone who helped us with our adoption. Your staff and volunteers are amazing. It is obvious that everyone there cares very deeply about what they are doing.
Sincerely,
The Crossland Family”
