Third Thursdays at IndyHumane is a new series just for young professionals ages 21-40 in Indianapolis and Central Indiana!
What should I do about stray cats in my neighborhood?
Should I feed stray cats? What can I do to help ferals?
Does my dog have separation anxiety?
My dog tears up my house while I'm away. Does he have separation anxiety?
How can I train my puppy to use the bathroom outside?
My puppy keeps pooping and peeing in my house. How can I housetrain my dog?
We receive many requests from groups who would like to perform a few hours of volunteer service as part of a class requirement or club service project. There are a number of ways you can assist the animals and staff at the Humane Society of Indianapolis. A few projects are available at the shelter that do not involve direct contact with the animals, and are only available on an as-needed basis.
We can work with Boy Scouts earning their Eagle Award and Girl Scouts earning their Gold Award to design a project that fits their requirements.
If we cannot schedule an activity at the shelter, here are additional ways that you can help outside of the shelter:
