Service Hours

If you need service hours for school, community groups, work groups, or for court-ordered service hours, we may be able to help you while you help us.

Service Hour Opportunities

People who need to complete service hours help with tasks that need to be completed at the time you are in the shelter. Activities range from grounds/building upkeep to dog walking.

Program Requirements

  • You must be at least 16 years of age.
  • You must be able to volunteer independently. If you are unable to do so, you will be required to provide an adult mentor to work alongside you.
  • You must commit to a weekly, pre-approved schedule until your hours are completed.
  • Court Orders: We do not accept felony/theft convictions or any sexual, violent, or animal cruelty related crimes

The Center at 456 N. Holmes Avenue offers low-cost vaccines, flea and tick control, deworming, heartworm preventative, nail trimming and microchipping.
