On January 19, my husband and I went to visit the Humane Society of Indianapolis. My husband told me before we left, “We can look, but we are not getting any pets today.” That was his mood until we met Mabel. She was bright eyed and just had an instant connection with my husband. He asked one of the shelter staff if we could play with her. As soon as we got in the outside pen, she ran up to my husband and just had him around her paw. The shelter staff warned us about her shyness and her ability to break out of a cage. As soon as we had her in our truck, her personality came out. She is such a sweetie and even goes to work with my husband! She loves the outdoors and cuddling. She is definitely a daddy’s girl. Thank you IndyHumane for bringing us together!
