Half-Price Heartworm Tests Available in March at IndyHumane Vaccine Clinics

March 3rd, 2014

IndyHumane feels that preventing heartworm disease is one of the best gifts you can give your pet. Heartworm treatment is expensive, is stressful and unpleasant for your pet, and can even be difficult to obtain due to medication shortages. Instead, let our vet test your dog and help you determine the best preventative to keep your furry friend happy, healthy, and heartworm free! Come to one of IndyHumane's Albert G. and Sara I. Reuben Vaccine Clinics, and receive a heartworm test at half price—that’s only $10! IndyHumane Announces Weather-Related Closure

February 28th, 2014

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Winter Storm Watch, which is in effect from late Saturday night through Monday morning. Due to the inclement weather expected, the Humane Society of Indianapolis announces some important weather-related closings:

The Humane Society of Indianapolis’ Michigan Road vaccine clinic and shelter will be closed to the public Sunday, March 2. The IndyHumane Animal Welfare Center is always closed on Sundays, therefore will not be open this day. Both facilities plan to reopen Monday, March 3 for normal hours and operations.

We apologize for any inconvenience, and please be safe! We will have animal care and medical staff reporting to make sure our animals are well cared for, safe, and warm. Volunteers will be informed of schedule changes and kept up to date via email. Any additional updates will be posted on indyhumane.org as well as our Facebook and Twitter pages.
