IndyHumane Closed to Public on Memorial Day

May 21st, 2015

The Humane Society of Indianapolis and the IndyHumane Animal Welfare Center will be closed Monday, May 25, in honor of Memorial Day. The adoption lobby and both low-cost vaccination clinic locations will be closed. Animals will be cared for as usual by staff and volunteers. We will reopen Tuesday, May 26, and we hope to see you then.

AWC Closed for Professional Development March 5

March 3rd, 2015

The IndyHumane Animal Welfare Center at 456 N. Holmes Avenue will be closed Thursday, March 5, for a professional development opportunity. We apologize for any inconvenience.

IndyHumane's vaccine clinic location at 7929 N. Michigan Road will also be closed March 5, as IndyHumane is closed to the public every Thursday. Both vaccine clinic locations will reopen on Friday, March 6, and resume normal business hours at that point.

Winter Weather Closure

March 1st, 2015

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Winter Storm Warning as well as a travel advisory, which is in effect today, Sunday, March 1st. Due to the inclement weather and hazardous driving conditions, the Humane Society of Indianapolis will be closed to the public today.

We apologize for any inconvenience, and please be safe! We will have animal care and medical staff reporting to make sure our animals are well cared for, safe, and warm. Volunteers will be informed of schedule changes and kept up to date via email. Weather permitting, we plan to reopen and resume all services Monday, March 2nd. Any additional updates will be posted here on indyhumane.org as well as our Facebook and Twitter pages.
