Yes, cats can be trained! On Sunday, February 7th at 2:30p.m., come without your cat to Cat Training 101. Meet trainer Melissa Heigl of The Ideal Pet, Inc., and watch her cats perform a variety of fun and useful behaviors.

Learn how to start training your cats at home. If you’ve ever wanted a closer bond with your cat, this is the class for you. Learn handling skills, teach your cat to behave nicely for nail trims and grooming, to go to his crate when asked and more.

This single-session class is 1 hour long and $20 per family. Preregistration is mandatory.

Cat Training 102
You MUST attend Cat Training 101 before attending this advanced class. Cat Training 102 provides a hands-on experience, where cats will learn advanced behaviors and tricks including “come”, “sit”, “high-five” and much more. We’ll discuss toilet training, too - imagine never having to scoop a litter box again!

Attend with your own cat for $30 per family, come without your cat and observe our class for $25 per family, or choose to work with a wonderful adoptable cat from the Humane Society of Indianapolis for $25 per family. Preregistration is mandatory.

This class is suitable for cats of any age. Age-appropriate vaccines are required in addition to a harness and leash. Bring a toy and lots of tiny high-value treats. Cats may not be carried into class unless safely contained in a pet carrier.
