Local UPS Stores collect $1,000 in donations for HSI

Through loose change and dollar bills, UPS Store customers donated $1,000 to the Humane Society of Indianapolis at four different Indianapolis-area stores. This amount is enough to feed our animals for a month.

On Friday, April 17, 2009, Humane Society of Indianapolis Executive Director John Aleshire (right) met with the UPS Store's John Preston at the 2012 S. Thompson Rd. location to pick up the representative check, which was emblazoned with an image of puppies and the note "For the Welfare of Cats & Dogs".

This collection from four small boxes goes to show that every little bit adds up! On behalf of the animals, HSI extends a heartfelt "Thank you!" to Mr. Preston, his fellow employees, and UPS Store customers.
