Home 4 the Holidays 2008 update

Between October 1, 2008 and January 5, 2009, HSI eagerly participated in the Home 4 the Holidays campaign in the hopes helping more than one million pets find homes nationwide.

We're glad to say that 1,202,751 pets found homes, and 931 animals from the Humane Society of Indianapolis were adopted during the event!

Of particular note, 63 pets were adopted from HSI the weekend after Christmas, and 50 were adopted the weekend after New Year's Eve!

Overall, 3,316 cats and dogs adopted from HSI found loving families in 2008.
