We provide three options for purchasing heartworm, flea & tick, and other preventatives. See below for a full list of products, services, and prices.

Purchase and pickup from our Michigan Road low-cost vaccine clinic: Email clinic@indyhumane.org with your name, phone number, and pets’ name for quick pickup from our vaccine clinic at 7929 North Michigan Road.

Curbside product pickup at our Downtown Clinic:

  • Pre-order products online at www.indyhumane.org/schedule
  • Appointments available 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday. Next-day appointments available often.
  • Flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention, de-wormer, rabies tag replacement, cardboard cat carriers available.
  • Quick curbside process:  text when you arrive (456 N. Holmes Avenue) and your prepackaged order will be brought to your vehicle.

Visit our online pharmacy to order preventatives and have them delivered straight to your door!

  • Your pets must be in our clinic database and up-to-date on necessary vaccines and testing.
  • If you have updated records from another clinic, please email clinic@indyhumane.org.

Vaccinations

Rabies: 3 lbs/12 weeks or older only. Vaccination required by Indiana state law.

DAPPV/4-in-1: Covers Distemper, Adenovirus 1 & 2, Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus, 4 major environmental diseases in dogs.

Bordetella: Kennel Cough. Recommended or required for dogs who visit grooming, daycare or boarding facilities, dog parks, etc.

Leptospirosis: Spiral bacteria contracted from wildlife that can cause fevers, liver/kidney failure, and can be transmitted to humans. Required by many dog parks, daycare or boarding facilities.

Influenza: Bivalent Canine Flu. Recommended if your dog goes to events, dog shows, or other places with many dogs. Required by many daycare or boarding facilities.

Lyme: Prevents Lyme Disease, passed by ticks. Recommended if you find any ticks on your dog.

Testing

Heartworm Test: For dogs 6 months and older. Annual testing is required to purchase heartworm preventative. Heartworms are transmitted by mosquito bites year-round. It is common in Indiana and is fatal.
