The Humane Society of Indianapolis offers dog and cat euthanasia services to the community by appointment.

The fee for euthanasia is $50. Your pet will be handled respectfully and cremated in a communal process. Their ashes will be scattered with care in our memory garden.

Memorial packages are available through our partner Pet Angel, with varying fees listed on their website. For information about the packages, call 317.791.1070.

Pet Angel private cremations are also available through the Humane Soiety of Indianapolis:
0 – 10 lbs                      $98
11 – 49 lbs                    $128
50+ lbs                         $158

You will be given the choice of picking up your return package at Pet Angel (on the south side near 465 and Meridian) or Pet Angel can ship the return package to you for a $19 fee.

Unfortunately, HSI is not able to allow patrons to be with their pets during the euthanasia process. Our euthanasia room is located in the interior of the building and we limit access since this requires walking through animal holding and medical areas.

Please check with your veterinarian if you require special or custom services. Some vets offer in-home services as well. Pet Angel can work with your vet to pick up your pet from their facility.
